Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 September 2026

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Advocate Finder, operated by Mithila Stack. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms.

1. Nature of the service

Advocate Finder is an independent legal information directory. It helps users discover and compare advocate profiles using publicly available and indexed case-related data.

Advocate Finder is not a law firm, does not practise law, and does not provide legal advice. We do not solicit professional engagement on behalf of any advocate.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding contract under applicable Indian law to use Advocate Finder.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate registration details and update them when they change.

3. Credits, unlocks & payments

Credits purchased on the platform may be used to unlock verified profile details, contact information, and comparison views, as described in the product at the time of purchase.

Credit purchases are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law or expressly stated otherwise at checkout. Unused credits do not earn interest and have no cash value outside the platform.

  • Unlock costs and package pricing may change; the amount shown at confirmation applies to that transaction.
  • Misuse of unlocks, automated scraping of contact data, or resale of platform data is prohibited.

4. Data accuracy & limitations

Case activity metrics and profile information are derived from indexed court records and other sources where available. We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee that all information is complete, current, or error-free.

Reported case outcomes are not classified as wins or losses unless explicitly supported by official records. Always verify material facts independently before making decisions.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use Advocate Finder only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with Bar Council of India rules on advertising and solicitation when contacting counsel.

  • Do not scrape, harvest, or bulk-export advocate contact or profile data.
  • Do not attempt to bypass unlocks, credits, or security controls.
  • Do not upload malware, spam users, or interfere with platform operations.
  • Do not misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting advocates.

6. Intellectual property

The Advocate Finder name, logo, interface, and original content are owned by Mithila Stack or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute platform materials without prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use of publicly displayed pages.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant uninterrupted access, that defects will be corrected, or that the service is free of harmful components.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mithila Stack and its affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the platform.

Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us for credits in the three months preceding the claim.

9. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, abuse the service, or create legal or security risk. You may stop using the platform at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive termination.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Bihar, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms or your use of Advocate Finder, subject to applicable mandatory consumer protections.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect material changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
